Khalida
Khalida is an adopter herself and has over 10 years experience in building organisations both the private and public sectors. She has worked for Network Rail where she was in charge of some of the biggest procurement projects in the country. Most recently, Khalida started GP Chambers, a social enterprise providing services to NHS GPs. Khalida holds an MBA from Said Business School, University of Oxford
Stephanie
Stephanie joined the Jigsaw Adoption team in July 2019. She has worked in the healthcare sector for over 20 years across both the NHS and private sector. Her experience is primarily in the field of infertility and egg donation and she has experience in helping couples in their journey to achieve a family. Stephanie has three birth children and four stepchildren.
Maria
Maria is an experienced adopter and a GP in London for over 10 years. Maria serves as the Medical Adviser for the Intercountry Adoption Centre, London and holds a degree in medicine
Caroline (panel chair)
Caroline is an Adoption UK volunteer support group co-ordinator for Bucks. In this role she provides adoption related training, networking events and social outings for adopters and prospective adopters in Bucks. Caroline has two adopted children.
Pearl
Pearl has worked within health and social care for 30 years. This began working within residential children’s homes, respite care homes for children with profound disabilities in addition to a specialist, Therapeutic children’s home and working within all aspects of domestic abuse.
Pearl has also taught within a post sixteen colleges alongside being a school nurse and counsellor. Pearl has worked within a residential assessment centre where families were directed by Court to undertake comprehensive risk assessments on families. Many of the parents had drug/alcohol issues, learning difficulties or mental health issues.
Pearl progressed into adoption 15 years ago, developing and undertaking post adoption support, delivering training in addition to the day to day support. On a personal level, Pearl has been a respite foster carer for children with disabilities and has adoption within the family.
Alongside Pearl’s present work, she has completed the Richard Rose diploma in Therapeutic Life Story work and has undertaken independent therapeutic life story work.
Pearl is also Theraplay trained (L1, L2 and group) and has undertaken Filiol play therapy.
Nibedita
Erik
Erik co-founded Jigsaw Adoption together with Khalida Lovell. Erik’s aim for Jigsaw is to provide a supportive, consistent, outcome-focused service to prospective adopters in the region and help find permanent homes for older children and siblings in care. Before Jigsaw, Erik has had a long career in financial services and organisational development, spanning over 20 years across the UK and Europe. Erik is a parent of three children and has experience of adoption in his wider family network.
