Adopting a child in the UK the legal process where adopters take parental responsibility for a child. Once the court has approved the adoption, the child gains the right of a natural child. 

 To be considered for adoption in the UK, you nee to fulfil three criteria:

  • You need to be at least 21 years old
  • You need to live in the UK
  • You can not have been convicted of certain criminal offences

If you fulfil the above criteria, you can enter the process of being trained and assessed as an adopter. In the assessment process, we will work with you to discuss and assess if adoption is right for you.
