About Jigsaw

Why Jigsaw

Run by people who've adopted too. Several members of our team have adopted themselves, including our founder Khalida. We know what the assessment feels like from the other side.

Sibling adoption is what we do best. A significant proportion of our placements are sibling groups — many of the adopters came in planning to adopt one child and decided during assessment that two would suit them better.

We focus on what families bring, not what to rule out. Assessment with Jigsaw starts from your strengths. It's still rigorous — safeguarding is taken seriously — but the starting point is what's possible, not what could rule you out.

"Khalida went above and beyond. She made the time to get to know us and that is why she was able to find us the perfect match. We are now a Mum and Dad to three amazing children."

What happens next

We ask everyone to fill out an interest form — it provides important information that allows us to assess if we can help you build your family.

1. Send the form. It takes about five minutes, and your answers stay confidential.

2. Additional questions. We will look at the form to assess if we can help you adopt. To do this, we might need a bit more information about you and we might send you some questions. All answers stay confidential.

3. An initial meeting. If we both like to take things further, we arrange an initial meeting — usually a video call.
