Adoption support is a key part of Jigsaw Adoption’s work with you and your family.
Children’s early life experiences will include separation and loss.
These experiences can affect the way they form relationships with adults and other children.
The role of support is therefore key to a family’s success in creating a forever family through adoption.
We dedicate substantial time, effort, and resources towards supporting families that is difficult to replicate in other adoption agencies.
We feel it is important to work with you as a family unit rather than looking at children’s needs in isolation. We place the entire family’s wellbeing at the forefront of our organisation, ensuring the perfect match for both child and parent.

How We Support You
We work closely with you during your adoption assessment and matching. From your initial conversation to the legal adoption of your children, Jigsaw Adoption will be with you every step of the way. Many of our team members have adopted children, giving them a deeper and more empathetic understanding of the adoption process.
After children are placed with you at your home, we provide a comprehensive package of support to you and your children. We’ll be with you every step of the way, including your meeting with the board through to the legal adoption of your children.

Preparing for Adoption
Adopting children can be a very emotional journey, especially after struggling with fertility and pregnancy. It’s important to feel prepared to welcome a child into your family, both mentally and physically. Jigsaw Adoption Agency will guide you through preparing to adopt a child to ensure you are emotionally ready to begin the adoption process.
We offer a compassionate ear to discuss all your child adoption questions and queries, so you feel confident and supported throughout the process.
finding your family
The Matching Process
Jigsaw Adoption places the adoptive parents and children’s wellbeing at the centre of our organisation. We’ll search across the UK to find the perfect match for both child and parents to ensure we find the missing puzzle piece to your family.
Once you’ve found a match, your children will be placed with you for 12 weeks at home before you can apply for legal adoption. Jigsaw Adoption will ensure you feel fully prepared and supported to welcome your children home.
